On Wednesday 8th July, we will be running a special workshop for people with vision impairment, some also have other significant physical and learning disabilities e.g. autism. These participants vary in age and have already participated in a Confidence & Employability workshop, plus CVs and Mock Interviews – we now want to take them on to the next step, to be able to meet employers who can talk about roles they offer plus charities who may be looking for volunteers. The intention behind this is to offer these candidates an insight into different roles and the types of positions that might work well for them.
Many of our participants are highly skilled and enthusiastic with a broad range of interests from research to computers, to wanting to put their experience of disability to good use in supporting others. Croydon Commitment will be on hand to fully support the session, no special skills required. These sessions are welcoming and hugely rewarding.
When: Wednesday 8th July
Time: 1.30pm – 3pm
Where: Croydon Vision, Bedford Hall, 72-74 Wellesley Road, Croydon CR0 2AR
Contact: info@croydoncommitment.org.uk if you would like to volunteer.
